Schedule : The position will be 3-4 days per week, from 8 : 30 am-12 : 30 pm beginning at the end of May through mid-October.
Job Title :
A private family seeks a responsible and flexible individual to perform dog care duties and related maintenance tasks in Millbrook, NY.
The ideal candidate would be someone who loves animals and is comfortable working with 3 large dogs
Previous animal care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Daily walks / exercise
- Coordination of animal care with Owners and veterinarian instructions
- Administer medicine and treatments
- Driving pets to vet appointments, therapy appointments
- Replenish water
- Follow specific feeding schedule
- Properly dispose of waste products
- Provide companionship
- All aspects of grooming (daily brushing, bathing, drying)
- Daily maintenance, cleaning, and stocking of grooming area
- Keeps track of pet supply inventory and report to House Manager
Requirements :
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- High level of comfort walking and caring for 3 large dogs
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent references from current and previous employers
- Hands-on with a good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Flexibility in schedule with availability on weekends as needed
- Valid US work authorization
- Valid Driver’s license
