Position: Baler Operator
Shift: 2nd shift hours: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm - *overtime if required would run until 1:00 am
Wage: $21.75

Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, as a Baler Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment using standard operating procedures. Bale waste and assist air-gun stripping. Strive to meet plant goals and customer requirements. Safety is the top priority of every employee.
What you will be doing:
- Work in a safe manner.
- Bale paper waste through machine Hopper and Baler system.
- Remove unwanted paperboard waste to the dumpster.
- Retrieve paperboard waste buckets from floor as needed.
- Clean area and machine as needed.
- Assist in gluer stacking as needed.
- Assist in hand stripping area as time allows.
- Maintaining baler wires on 3 machines throughout the day. Spools are 50 lbs. Need to move them from lift assist to the baler.
- Need to Splice the wires and have strong grip strength to squeeze the cutters and plyers.
- On occasion entering a confined space.

- Must be quality minded, able to work independently and keeps safety as a priority.
- Able to work on your feet and stand for long periods of time. Walking, standing, bending, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces is required.
- Able to do simple math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read and write to fully comprehend all forms and paperwork associated with this job.
- Can use upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward and to exert force to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion and can raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Lifting up to 50 lbs. required.
