POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Program Manager facilitates and drives the planning, execution, and delivery of complex work efforts intended to accomplish business goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes and budgets. Demonstrates an advanced understanding of how activities contribute to the achievement of strategic business goals and operational objectives. Collaborates with key stakeholders, vendors and project/program teams to identify mutually beneficial outcomes for competing priorities and negotiate timelines to ensure objectives are met.
The Program Manager will be accountable for managing the PMI system with all required documentation. The Program Manager will have the responsibility for setting up and in some cases managing approved corporate projects. There will be an important aspect on advising which project management documentation will need to be used for approved projects, including project plan, RACI, Risk and Issues register, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives implementation of simple to complex work efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve multiple program and project objectives.
- Managing people, ensuring regular communication and excellent working relationships
- Direct reporting to Operations Director and dotted line reporting to the Group NPI Program Director.

- Track and report progress against plan, or ensure project leaders have done the same
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities for low to complex work efforts through development plans intended to accomplish goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes, scope and budgets.
- Identifies and applies best practices and needed process improvements, drives adoption and challenges standards.
- Ensures compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Monitors project execution to deliver incremental business value.
- Assists in defining the control and the overall delivery of the work efforts to meet the goals, objectives and success criteria.
- Establishes overall cadence for communication with impacted stakeholders and provides framework for underlying work efforts.
- Participates in work effort closure activities to determine benefit / business impact realization.
- Manages risk by using best risk management practices to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and cost, in adherence with risk management framework.
- Significant customer facing roll which requires skills to manage complex scenarios with sensitivity while still delivering the SteriPack Targets, goals and objectives
- Training and mentoring the project team to develop their skills and increase team knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
- 5 years’ experience working within a New Product Introduction role and managing technical execution
- Four-year degree within an Engineering discipline – Masters Preferred
- Recognized professional project management qualification with PMI or similar preferred
- Strong communications and management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Medical device knowledge and regulatory experience preferred.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Self-directed and detail oriented with an inquisitive nature and desire to solve problems.
- Good organizational skills and experience working as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
