Account Executive - K-12 Literacy Solutions

About the Role:

As an Account Executive, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales of our science-based literacy curriculum and professional learning solutions to midsize-to-larger school districts. You'll leverage your deep understanding of the K-12 education market and your consultative sales approach to build strong relationships with district administrators and secure multi-year contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Prospect for new business opportunities, identify potential clients, and develop strategic sales plans to expand our market presence.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations that showcase the value of our literacy solutions to district leaders.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders within school districts, including superintendents, curriculum directors, and literacy coaches.
  • Pipeline Management: Effectively manage sales opportunities, from initial contact to contract negotiation.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and educational policies to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support market needs and drive business growth.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in the education technology industry, with a focus on K-12 market segments.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Strong understanding of literacy instruction methodologies and science-based reading.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
