STX is currently searching for one unique individual to join our warehouse department. To be successful in this position, you must be self-motivated person who can successfully complete tasks with little direct supervision. STX is currently searching for one unique individual to join our warehouse team as a Material Handler you will be responsible for the movement of material through the STX warehouses. There may be times that you are required to pick, palletize and stage customer order. In addition to having written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding physical fitness. You will also possess in-depth knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM with expected overtime and availability to work Saturdays
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
- Ensure all incoming deliveries match the purchase order record.
- Store products in assigned locations using floor-loading and pallet loading techniques.
- Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
- Record the number of units handled and moved every day using production sheets.
- Operate various machinery including pallet jacks, forklifts and hand trucks to safely handle materials and inventory.
- Analyze pick sheets based on clients' orders and pull the appropriate products for each order.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Certification in forklift operation
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage.
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.
- Availability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with data entry, inventory control practices and logistics
- Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
