Porter

As a Lodge Porter at Sun Mountain Lodge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding experience from the moment they arrive. You will be the first point of contact, assisting with luggage, providing information, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the lodge premises. This position requires a proactive, friendly, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

• Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring careful handling and timely delivery to rooms.
• Provide accurate and helpful information about lodge amenities, local attractions, and transportation options.
• Escort guests to their rooms and explain the features and services of the lodge.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries efficiently and courteously.

Property Maintenance:

• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of public areas, including the lobby, entrances, and outdoor spaces.
• Perform regular checks and upkeep of common areas to ensure they are welcoming and presentable.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces as required.

Operational Support:

• Work closely with the front desk and housekeeping teams to coordinate room availability and special guest needs.
• Assist with emergency procedures and provide support during emergency situations.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate departments promptly.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
• Familiarity with lodge operations or similar environments is a plus.

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying luggage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay is $18.00 per hour
