ABOUT THE ROLE
SUPER73 is hiring a Cost Accountant to work onsite at our Irvine, CA HQ! The Cost Accountant reports to the Global Controller and determines and implements standard cost accounting procedures and methods.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collects and analyzes data relative to the company’s operational costs.
- Sets standard costs of manufacturing goods.
- Establishes and maintains all bills of materials.
- Responsible for annual and periodic standard costing rolls.
- Carry out cost-volume margin analysis and absorption impact modeling.
- Partners with sales and operations to generate customer margin programs.
- Partners with operations implementing lean principles around the costs of goods such as administrative, labor, distribution, logistics, etc.
- Performs account reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly and year end reporting processes.
- Compare and report on actual cost results vs. operating standards.
- Analyze and report margins by product category.
- Monitor production inventory costing and levels.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5-8 years of experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Business control and financial management competencies
- Excellent knowledge of cost Accounting
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time
- Have strong analytical skills and numerical attitude
- Organization and communication skills
- Business Administration, or related field required
- Relevant experience in Finance and accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
