What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coffee Barista position at The VUE Cafe?
SUMMARY:
We pride ourselves on providing exceptionally positive interactions with all our guests. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience working as a barista, enjoys working independently, can take direction well, and multi-task effectively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet each Customer with a smile and a welcoming phrase.
- Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with Grab & Go items.
- Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
- Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks.
- Generates revenues by attracting new customers.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Background check required
- Must always be able to maintain and present a professional appearance. Dells Resorts grooming and personal hygiene requirement is to wear the proper issued clean uniform and name badge.
- A professional attitude and the ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse is always required.
- Must be honest and dedicated.
- Must possess excellent time management skills and be on time for work.
- Must be a team player and able to provide superior customer service.
- Must be able to work weekends and Holidays.
- Must call your Supervisor two hours before your shift begins if you are unable to come to work.
