Job Description
Turner & Townsend ANZ has seen significant growth over the past 5 years and has ambitious plans to continue growing and achieving outcomes for our clients. We are seeking a mid-level bid and business development professional who is motivated, organised and who have previous knowledge in the built environment, natural resources, or infrastructure sector.
The successful candidate will be experienced in enabling professional services teams to translate strategic vision to targeted actions, supporting pursuit planning and liaising with key contributors from across the organisation to create tailored, innovative and compliant bid responses in line with deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide structured and proactive support to Directors and teams to prepare for future bids by equipping client teams to position, demonstrate value and understand future opportunities.
- Project manage and support development of collateral to demonstrate value or support positioning activities
- Work with the Marketing Manager and ANZ Business Development team to incorporate marketing, campaigns and other activities into pursuit planning.
- Support strategic pursuit planning and bid forums including win theme development, storyboarding and bid feedback/lessons learnt.
- Project manage, incorporate and review input from bid partners, directors, technical experts and wider team as necessary, to ensure a consistent and coherent final bid against scoring criteria
- Ensure reviews, governance processes and quality assurance are completed for every submitted bid.
- Following submission of bid, extract key information from tender and manage information in-line with information management processes and following internal feedback analysis processes
Qualifications
- Based in Australia (can be Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in bid writing and bid strategy, preferably in a project management, construction or infrastructure environment
- Enjoys working collaboratively with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, across Australia and overseas
- Navigating the collation of medium to complex documents in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical thinker with exceptional writing skills and the ability to distil complex concepts into engaging, accessible narratives
- Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred. M365 Dynamic desirable
- Highly organised with the ability to manage conflicting timescales and priorities
- Be a steady, calm anchor for the team in a deadline-driven environment
- A team player with high attention to detail, focused on best outcomes for business
