Do you love working in a fast paced environment? Palm Point is currently recruiting for a Full Time Receptionist on the Night Shift.
The Receptionist ensures the communication and customer service operation of the hospital is provided timely and effectively at all times and provides professional customer relations to a patient population of ages 5-90 . Answers questions and gives information in person or over the telephone, based on knowledge of the hospital and regulations. Manages a multi-line phone system. Presents a good first impression to persons entering the hospital. The receptionist will interface with all visitors and the general public as well as hospital staff.

Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serve communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30-miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40-miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. In Titusville, you can tour the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. Qualifications
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of all disaster, fire and internal emergency plans and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality procedures for all patients, visitors and vendors to the hospital.
- Demonstrates the security procedures by screening and directing visitor, patients and vendors as they enter the building.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrates the ability to screen and direct incoming calls as well as act as a message center.
- Demonstrates the hospital’s customer services standard.
- Knowledge of the transportation options to and from the hospital; Ability to give directions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates telephone to relay incoming, outgoing, interoffice, and message center calls.
- Facilitates the implementation of security procedures by screening and directing visitors and patients as they enter the building.
- Ensures the safety of patients, staff, and visitors in the event of an incident or emergency.
- Acts as information clerk.
- Performs responsible clerical tasks under general supervision using knowledge of office procedures and hospital regulations.
- Maintains on-call lists for Administration, Doctors, PRN Pool, Pharmacy, Maintenance and others as necessary.
- Contacts Fire and Police Departments as dictated by policy.
- Makes visitors feel comfortable and assures that they will receive immediate attention from the appropriate person.
- Sells meal tickets and accounts for funds.
- Maintain confidentially procedures for vendors and visitor.
- Trains other personnel in performing relief telephone functions.
- Receives and releases interoffice delivery and Federal Express packages.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
