What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Analyst I position at Vectrus?
The Program Analyst accomplishes program support to include administrative and technical recommendations for the Japan C-130 contract. The position will be responsible for taking meeting minutes, prepare draft briefings, and utilizes Excel Spreadsheets to assist the case manager with day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success.
- Provide program analysis for all aspects of the program
- Participates as a member of supports the overall Program and IPTs.
- Collect, complete, organize, and interpret technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs.
- Tracks program/project status and schedules
- Applies policies and procedures for financial planning
Qualifications
Education:
- MS or MA degree in a Business, Management (Desired), or Relevant Technical Discipline
Required Experience:
- At least six (6) years of FMS experience
- Eight (8) years highly desired
- Familiarity with SECNAV, OPNAV, and OSD forms related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests, Work Requests, Requisitions, Contract Data Requirements List, and DD-254 is required
Desired Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in program management, technical, or business analysis discipline, related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
- Six (6) years out of 10 years of recent work experience related to analysis and planning
- Demonstrated experience in the program/project status, earned value management, and schedules
Allowable Substitution:
- A BS or BA degree or Project Management Institute certification and an additional three (3) years of experience can substituted for an MS or MA degree
- An additional five (5) years experience may be substituted for the degree requirement

- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to details
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively (autonomy is key)
- Ability to work as necessary to meet customer needs.
- Effective communication skills with an appreciation for the appropriate ways to interact with managers, coworkers, and customers

- Ability to adapt to changing technology to setup, coordinate, and schedule Telecoms/VTCs
- Travel may be necessary to US and overseas locations.
- Position will permit a hybrid arrangement as long as the location is no more than one hour ground transportation from NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.
- Candidate will be required to report in the California, Maryland office or NAS Patuxent River, Maryland at the request of the customer when needed.

Salary : $79,900 - $101,000
