Job Summary
As a function of the Waupaca County Finance Department, this position is responsible for maintaining grant accounting processes, procedures and reporting. This position works under the direct supervision of Assistant Finance Director.

Essential Responsibilities
Maintain grant accounting processes, procedures, and reporting.
Maintain general ledger accounts for all grant revenue and costs.
Maintain knowledge of all grant programs awarded to the county.
Responsible for tracking the County’s grant awards, and annual preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal and State Awards.
Responsible for tracking and reporting allowable expenditures to appropriate granting agency.
Assist grant program manager to determine allowable costs associated with grant award.
PERIPHERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a 4-year degree in accounting, or equivalent of 2-year degree and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Grant management experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Proficient knowledge of computers, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
