Estimator

PRIMARY OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES :

This position works closely with the sales team to estimate landscape maintenance projects and plans. This includes materials, labor, equipment, and other challenges associated with commercial landscape maintenance contracts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Retrieve electronic bidding documents for landscape maintenance plans
  • Communicate and work with sales team for each project to obtain all details for accurate estimating
  • Become familiar with all aspects of the job plans and specifications to fully understand the scope of work
  • Create accurate estimates based on detailed takeoffs created from landscape and irrigation designs and specifications from RFP
  • Secure and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes and incorporate those proposals into the estimate
  • Prepare takeoffs and estimates in Aspire, review with BD and branch manager based on information from customer, BD and RFP documents

• Measure customer sites in GoiLawn
• Maintain and update bid tracking sheet, lead tracking sheet and bid closing spreadsheet
• Other duties as may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS :

• 3 years of estimating experience and/or landscape construction experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Exceptional computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, digital takeoff software, Adobe Pro
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, ratios, percentages, and decimals
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions that add value to the client and the company
