Requirements and Responsibilities

Applications Programmer IV designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents complex applications programs. Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex application programming problems, taking computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results into consideration. Being an Applications Programmer IV works at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Applications Programmer IV typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Applications Programmer IV is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. To be an Applications Programmer IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
