Requirements and Responsibilities

Architect IV is responsible for substantial architectural projects. Selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques used to complete projects. Being an Architect IV writes reports and specifications, supervises the preparation of architectural plans, and reviews completed plans and estimates. Supervises and guides the work of lower-level architects. Additionally, Architect IV requires the use of more advanced techniques. Requires a bachelor's degree of architecture. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require a state architect's license. Architect IV is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. To be an Architect IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
