Requirements and Responsibilities

Automotive Mechanic III performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Provides miscellaneous mechanic works, including but not limited to body work, diagnosing, disassembling and assembling components and engines. Being an Automotive Mechanic III performs all duties according to safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic III typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic III has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. To be an Automotive Mechanic III typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
