Implements standard frameworks and source control tools to develop and test web services and API's and ensure product functionality, speed, and security. Being a Backend Development Manager oversees the architecture and development of backend systems, ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather functional requirements, troubleshoot complex issues and roadblocks, and ensure alignment with business needs. Additionally, Backend Development Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Backend Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
