Monitors transactions, investigates suspicious activity, and files reports with government authorities. Monitors investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensures completion of required filings. Additionally, Bank Secrecy Supervisor keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Stays current on banking regulations such as the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and/or other governmental anti-money laundering laws. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Bank Secrecy Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.
