Biopharma Process Engineering Director
Biopharma Process Engineering Director directs and leads a team of engineers that are responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing biopharma processes. Oversees the process simulations, modeling, and scale-up studies to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Being a Biopharma Process Engineering Director reviews and evaluates processes to enhance yield, productivity, and product quality. Analyzes process bottlenecks and reviews corrective actions to improve process performance. Additionally, Biopharma Process Engineering Director ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and align with industry best practices. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the biopharma industry. May require a PhD in biological/chemical engineering or a related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Biopharma Process Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Biopharma Process Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
