Requirements and Responsibilities

Biopharma Process Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of engineers that are responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing biopharma processes. Monitors the process simulations, modeling, and scale-up studies to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Being a Biopharma Process Engineering Supervisor reviews and evaluates processes to enhance yield, productivity, and product quality. Troubleshoots process-related issues and provides timely solutions. Additionally, Biopharma Process Engineering Supervisor identifies process bottlenecks, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to improve process performance. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and align with industry best practices. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the biopharma industry. Requires a bachelor's degree in biological/chemical engineering or a related field. Typically reports to a manager. The Biopharma Process Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Biopharma Process Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
