CAD Drafter II transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD). Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Being a CAD Drafter II collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. May require an associate degree. Additionally, CAD Drafter II typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The CAD Drafter II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a CAD Drafter II typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
