Requirements and Responsibilities

Campus Recreation Manager manages and administers the student, faculty, and staff recreation programs including intramural and club sports. Manages the planning and scheduling of recreation events and oversees equipment inventory. Being a Campus Recreation Manager assists in developing marketing and promotional materials. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Campus Recreation Manager typically reports to a director. The Campus Recreation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Campus Recreation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
