Requirements and Responsibilities
Capture Management Director plans and directs an organization's capture strategy to identify competitive advantages and secure contracts for an organization. Develops capture strategies to evaluate customer needs, competitor positioning, and industry trends and effectively identify, pursue, and win business contracts. Being a Capture Management Director determines the feasibility of pursuing an opportunity based on factors such as budget, scope, competition, and customer requirements and objectives. Maintains relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and key decision-makers to maintain visibility and enhance competitive positioning. Additionally, Capture Management Director assists senior stakeholders in developing competitive and profitable pricing strategies for bids. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Capture Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Capture Management Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
