Requirements and Responsibilities
Cardiac Catheterization Technologist is responsible for assisting cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Operates and maintains specialized imaging equipment. Being a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist collects and analyzes data from imaging and monitoring equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Requires an associate degree. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Technologist requires ARRT certification. Typically requires State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. Cardiac Catheterization Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
