CIP Technician performs cleaning-in-place (CIP) operations to maintain sanitary conditions of production and processing equipment in accordance with industry and regulatory standards. Ensures the use of proper cleaning solutions, chemical concentrations, water temperatures, and cleaning cycles. Being a CIP Technician dismantles lines, pipes, pumps, and valves of production equipment for cleaning and reassembles the system to working condition. Inspects, tests, and verifies the cleanliness of equipment and lines before production startup. Additionally, CIP Technician documents all cleaning activities to comply with food safety and quality assurance requirements. Supports maintenance and production teams in identifying and resolving sanitation issues. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The CIP Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a CIP Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
