Civil Engineering Technologist III is responsible for applying engineering principles in the implementation of products, systems, and processes. Works with civil engineers in the planning, designing, and building of infrastructure and development projects. Being a Civil Engineering Technologist III helps engineers in the planning of construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Estimates workload to establish project deadlines and helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Additionally, Civil Engineering Technologist III is responsible for recommending maintenance, repair, and preparing reports for review by an engineer. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Civil Engineering Technologist III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
