Control & Instrument Technician IV supports the engineering design, development, implementation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical control systems. Provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes. Being a Control & Instrument Technician IV assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments. Uses established methods to measure performance results and document testing procedures. Additionally, Control & Instrument Technician IV maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance. Typically requires an associate degree in in a technical field. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Control & Instrument Technician IV independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.
