Requirements and Responsibilities
Dean - Computer and Information Systems manages the administrative and operational functions of the College of Computer and Information Systems. Develops strategic initiatives and participates in long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean - Computer and Information Systems provides senior level leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment, and faculty development. Ensures academic standards are met and align with institutional goals. Additionally, Dean - Computer and Information Systems requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Dean - Computer and Information Systems manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Dean - Computer and Information Systems typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
