Engineering Supervisor utilizes engineering methodologies, principles, and tools to develop or improve technical products, systems, or processes that meet specified requirements and standards. Identifies and recommends materials and processes to ensure product quality, performance, and manufacturability. Being an Engineering Supervisor utilizes CAD software and engineering methodologies to create blueprints, drawings, or models and communicate designs and specifications to stakeholders. Oversees requirement gathering and documentation to ensure specifications are understood and captured. Additionally, Engineering Supervisor develops prototype testing to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs, collect feedback, and draw meaningful insight for product improvements. Ensures detailed documentation of test results, processes, and specifications for future needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Engineering Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
