Facilities Engineering Senior Manager manages the planning, design, and maintenance of facility infrastructure and equipment to meet the needs of an organization. Utilizes CAD software and engineering principles to design and communicate specifications for facility modifications, new development, or equipment. Being a Facilities Engineering Senior Manager implements preventative and corrective maintenance programs and capital improvement projects. Ensures routine inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards and maintains records for audits and regulatory reporting. Additionally, Facilities Engineering Senior Manager coordinates with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. Reviews facility plans and cost projections to provide technical oversight and identify areas to implement efficiencies and cost-savings. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Engineering Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
