Requirements and Responsibilities

Folder Operator sets up and operates machine to automatically fold, slit, and score printed sheets into signatures for binding. Examines work order to determine setup specifications. Being a Folder Operator adjusts machine during production run as required. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Folder Operator typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Folder Operator typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
