Requirements and Responsibilities

Frontend Development Manager leads a team of frontend developers while actively contributing code to day-to-day development. Translates product and design requirements into technical tasks and ensures features are delivered on time and to quality standards. Being a Frontend Development Manager reviews code, enforces frontend best practices, and troubleshoots complex UI or performance issues. Coordinates closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to align priorities. Additionally, Frontend Development Manager has knowledge of commonly used languages and frameworks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and Bootstrap. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Frontend Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Frontend Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
