Geotechnical Engineer I prepares and inspects projects involving drilling and exploration. Responsible for geological mapping, report writing, site characterization, numerical modeling and analysis of excavations/supports. Being a Geotechnical Engineer I requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Geotechnical Engineer I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.
