Requirements and Responsibilities
Internal Communications Supervisor supervises the designing and implementation of internal communication programs within an organization. Oversees the work processes used to implement communication programs that support and reinforce organizational objectives and comply with regulations. Being an Internal Communications Supervisor monitors accuracy and timeliness of information using quality processes to ensure documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Manages project tasks and timelines. Additionally, Internal Communications Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Internal Communications Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Internal Communications Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
