Requirements and Responsibilities

IT Consulting Director directs and leads a team of IT consultants responsible for providing advice and services to clients. Leads IT consulting operations, aligning IT strategies with client business goals and ensuring excellence in project delivery. Being an IT Consulting Director develops and executes a consulting service line strategy, including go-to-market efforts, client engagement programs, and competitive positioning. Provides mentorship and promotes innovation within consulting practices. Additionally, IT Consulting Director analyzes market trends and emerging technologies to guide service portfolio evolution and maintain a competitive edge. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The IT Consulting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an IT Consulting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
