Requirements and Responsibilities

Knowledge Management Manager manages the capture, organization, and sharing of knowledge across the organization to drive efficiency, decision-making, and continuous learning. Designs and oversees systems and processes that ensure easy access to accurate and up-to-date information. Being a Knowledge Management Manager manages and optimizes knowledge platforms, including databases, documentation, and collaboration tools. Partners with cross-functional teams to identify knowledge gaps and implement improvements to strengthen information flow. Additionally, Knowledge Management Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Knowledge Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Knowledge Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
