Requirements and Responsibilities

Knowledge Management Supervisor supervises the capture, organization, and sharing of knowledge across the organization to drive efficiency, decision-making, and continuous learning. Monitors the design and continuous improvement of systems and processes that ensure easy access to accurate and up-to-date information. Being a Knowledge Management Supervisor maintains databases, documentation, and collaboration tools. Identifies knowledge gaps and implements practical solutions to improve information flow. Additionally, Knowledge Management Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Knowledge Management Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Knowledge Management Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
