Light Assembler II assembles fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units. Tests, calibrates, and fits parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler II identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Uses hand tools and small power tools. Additionally, Light Assembler II requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require May require completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Light Assembler II gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Light Assembler II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
