Requirements and Responsibilities

Logistics Planning Director directs and leads the team responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing plans related to the storage, movement, and distribution of goods and materials within a supply chain. Designs, develops, and implements strategies to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and meet organizational goals. Being a Logistics Planning Director creates key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve the effectiveness of logistics plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Logistics Planning Director typically reports to senior management. The Logistics Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Logistics Planning Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
