Requirements and Responsibilities

Logistics Planning Manager manages the team responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing plans related to the storage, movement, and distribution of goods and materials within a supply chain. Oversees the analysis of supply chain functions to identify areas for improvement and proposes strategies to reduce costs and delivery times. Being a Logistics Planning Manager continuously evaluates logistics performance to enhance service delivery and meet organizational goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Logistics Planning Manager typically reports to a director. The Logistics Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Logistics Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
