Requirements and Responsibilities
Loss Control Representative I conducts on-site inspections and risk assessments of commercial properties and operations to identify hazards and recommend loss prevention measures. Evaluates physical conditions, operational practices, safety programs, and management controls to assess exposure to property, casualty, and workers' compensation losses. Being a Loss Control Representative I prepares detailed inspection reports that document findings, loss exposures, and recommendations for risk improvement. Advises policyholders on loss prevention techniques, safety practices, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices to mitigate identified risks. Additionally, Loss Control Representative I performs follow-up visits to verify implementation of recommendations and monitor ongoing risk improvement progress. Maintains current knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and other applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations relevant to assigned accounts. Requires a bachelor's degree.
