Requirements and Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering Technician III provides technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility. Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans, conducts tests and troubleshoots equipment. Being a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III documents test procedures and results. Solves routine technical problems. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineering Technician III may assist or train less experienced technicians. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician III has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. To be a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
