Requirements and Responsibilities

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Manager manages the timely and efficient flow of materials required to meet production schedules and customer demand. Oversees material requirement planning (MRP) systems to plan for demand, manage inventory levels, and coordinate procurement and production activities. Being a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Manager analyzes data to forecast material needs and collaborates with suppliers, production, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery. May support process improvements, system accuracy, and planning efficiency to enhance overall supply chain reliability and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
