Requirements and Responsibilities
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Supervisor oversees the timely and efficient flow of materials required to meet production schedules and customer demand. Develops, monitors, and maintains material requirement planning (MRP) systems to plan for demand, manage inventory levels, and coordinate procurement and production activities. Being a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Supervisor analyzes data to forecast material needs and collaborates with suppliers, production, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery. May support process improvements, system accuracy, and planning efficiency to enhance overall supply chain reliability and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
