Requirements and Responsibilities

Mechanical Engineer IV designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. Being a Mechanical Engineer IV may be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. Requires a bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Mechanical Engineer IV typically reports to a manager. Mechanical Engineer IV is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. To be a Mechanical Engineer IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
