Requirements and Responsibilities

Medical Advisor provides medical expertise in the direction and administration of clinical trials and research activities for clinical product development. Oversees project management and implements scientific processes and procedures. Being a Medical Advisor coordinates advanced phase human trials, regulatory report submissions, monitors compliance, and concludes studies. Requires a MD. Additionally, Medical Advisor typically reports to a director. The Medical Advisor works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. To be a Medical Advisor typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
