Medicare Program Development Director
Medicare Program Development Director directs the design and implementation of Medicare programs and product initiatives to support enterprise growth and regulatory compliance. Develops program concepts, business cases, and benefit designs for Medicare Advantage and Part D offerings. Being a Medicare Program Development Director analyzes market, competitive, and regulatory data to identify program opportunities and inform strategic recommendations. Ensures program designs comply with CMS requirements, bid timelines, and internal governance standards. Additionally, Medicare Program Development Director manages staff, budgets, and vendor relationships to deliver programs on schedule and within scope. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Medicare Program Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Medicare Program Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
