Network Control Technician IV routinely tests and analyzes network performance to ensure network systems operate at required levels of speed and reliability. Identifies factors that drive network performance and follows procedures to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Being a Network Control Technician IV may perform upgrades, preventative maintenance, or equipment installation. Follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network status. Additionally, Network Control Technician IV documents network issues and configuration changes as soon as they occur. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Technician IV work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Network Control Technician IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
