Pharmacology Manager manages a team of pharmacologists who study the effects of drugs, chemicals, and other substances on humans, animals, and/or plants. Leads the planning, design, execution, analysis, and reporting of pharmacology experiments and findings. Being a Pharmacology Manager may function as the subject matter expert on cross-functional projects. Maintains substantial knowledge of pharmacology best practices and theories. Additionally, Pharmacology Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Pharmacology Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Pharmacology Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
