Physician - CCU specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and support of critically ill patients. Treats patients in critical/coronary care unit to ensure proper care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Being a Physician - CCU recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Additionally, Physician - CCU requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a medical director. Physician - CCU's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
